DCPS FM & LS Improvements / Kirkwood Lift Station
Force main and lift station improvements including the new Kirkwood Lift Station.

Owner
Trinity River Authority
Estimated Completion Date
Q1 2027
Location
Southlake, TX
Scope
Construction of a new wet well configuration lift station adjacent to the existing Kirkwood Lift Station. The new lift station requires an excavation extending 50-feet deep. A beam and lag system will be installed to retain soils while 10,000-cy are excavated and removed from site. The lift station will house three 350-hp submersible pumps discharging through a 24" header and forcemain. Flow to the existing lift station is re-routed to the new station through two 30" gravity lines upwards of 35-ft deep. After the new lift station is tested and brought on-line, the existing lift station pumps are demoed and the wet well is reconfigured into an emergency overflow basin. Other improvements include a large concrete paved area designed to store emergency holding tanks, a pig launching station for forcemain cleaning, modifications to the existing electrical building and site landscaping improvements.
